Best gas tank to use

Im looking to change out my gas tank like many of you already have. Problem Is i dont really know what characteristics to look for, or what is going to be the best fit. Im not going crazy on the lowering of my truck so i dont think clearence from the ground will be an issue. You guys have any suggestions on the best gas tank to use. Hoping to get a used something or other... Plus where would i find these things at?! junk yard, Ebay?

thanks fellas

Re: Best gas tank to use

It seems that a lot of people go with a tank from a Blazer if you are not worried about clearance.

I have heard that the position of the cross member in the back will have to be changed and of course the spare tire mount will no longer be used.

I personally like the tank in the cab as long as it does not leak and there isn't any gasoline fumes.

Of course if you are looking for better traction a tank in the rear will help.
