He suggested that the "new owner" pop the badgs off, not some stranger.

Geeze, lighten up.

Re: Should I trade my truck for this? Thoughts and opinions wanted..

You have another GTO and you are familiar with Pontiac so you know what you are getting yourself into and know what to look for.

I would do it just because it is a clone. It's no fun having a rare muscle car you are afraid will get damaged or have to worry about busting a matching numbers engine or trans every time you play around with it.

As a clone you can have the look of the GTO you want but don't have to worry about losing much of the value of the car if you throw a rod through the side of the block or you grenade the trans. Plus it wouldn't be a crime to give it some modern upgrades to the brakes & suspension.

I would go for it. As was stated earlier, 68 A-body Pontiac's are not easy to find be it a LeMans or GTO but square bodies are everywhere. It would be easy to build another truck just like you have now if you choose to do so.

x2 Its a GTO with some $$ sense. Do you know how many fords are running around with chevy small blocks? nobody says anything about that. I'd get it. I like old mustangs myself and if I found a GOOD boss clone like this lemans, I'd jump on it. I REALLY like my truck but nothings been quite like driving the mustang around...

Who cares if it is a base model Lemans. There is a huge market out there for cloned cars because jerk offs who have more money than brains have went to Barret Jackson sales and ran the prices of these cars so far up it isn't even funny. The OP I'm sure has a good idea of what he is doing and was just looking for some ideas/support I'm sure.

To the first part of your statement: I tell you what. I deal with corvette guys all the time because of my car. If anyone of those aholes did anything to my ride because they didn't like it, it wouldn't be pretty. Either respect each man's property or shut your mouth, leave it alone and just go away.

^^ Actually, I'd like to see that corvette!

Back on subject, I'd trade if the car was in good shape.
