Portland, OR to Lusby, MD with only a minor problem. The alternator mounting bracket snapped and the water pump wasn't getting turned fast enough due to lack of belt contact so I had to limp home the last 200 miles. I left Saturday morning at 3 AM from Portland. I was driving along and saw all these old Chevy and other old trucks parked with people all over the place. I figured it must be a show and then I passed the sign. I was passing through Ontario. I thought when everyone was talking about Ontario they meant California. Unfortunately, the schedule didn't allow for a U-turn and any sightseeing. To bad because I would have liked to meet some of you guys.
My path was 84 East to 80 East, 25 South to 70 East. Saturday I went until I made Denver at about 2 AM and spent the night at my cousins house. Left her house at 6PM Sunday night and only made it to Mid Kansas before stopping. Monday I made it to just West of Columbus, OH. I know Longhornmail that is close to you but I was only stopping at the rest areas and sleeping for 3 or 4 hours before I hit the road again. Tuesday I made it home at about 2:00 PM after the alternator bracket headache kept me busy for 4+ hours. I know I passed several boardmembers houses. Especially when I was on 70. You can just tell by the driveway/yard. Unfortunately, it rained on Sunday and Monday. It's just not the same when it's all wet out. When it gets nice enough outside I'll post pictures. The trip was well worth it.

It was getting about 10 mpg at 70 mph. Fortunately I have 3 gas tanks. The rear gears are 4:10 I believe and the tires are pretty tall. It was nice being able to run at the speed limit without to high of an engine rpm. I posted pictures of the truck. Most are undercarriage shots because even though Paul says the rain has stopped it still shi**y outside. I'll get some good picture when it's nice outside.

I was wondering how you were doing. Sounds like you had a great trip. Was the truck everything you hoped for? It would have been nice to take a couple extra days and enjoy the sights a bit but you were on a mission!
