Hey guys just gotta acouple quick questions for ya real quick. First of i have a 85 chevy scottsdale. Origianally a 305 with the 4 speed manuel tranny that was basically a 3speed with a granny gear. It had 272 gears. What i want to know is that tranny? Munci? saginaw? borgwaner? any one help me figure this out?

The other question is it now has a 350 and 373 gears with 35in tires and my speedo is 15mph faster that what im actualy going. What do i need to get that correct..

Re: Tranny and speedo help!!

I have in the past gone to the dealer ship and worked with a counterman that I knew and bought the speedo gears we figured would be close.Sometimes it was dead on sometimes it was close 5 +/- .

The best is when I took went to the speedo shop and they built a custom adapter.
