Free Engine! First one to pick it up takes it!

There is a frustrating story behind this. The truck body I am using for my "Pops" project originally came with a V6 4.3L engine w/ electronic Quadrajet. The engine was blown when I got it. Anyway I bought a remanufactured block and heads from a reputable place about 3 years ago. My father and I worked on switching over some of the other components and getting the new block ready to drop in. Well---Enter a dude who owed me a bunch of money---I knew there was no way I would ever get the cash out of him and he "claimed" to have mechanical ability. We made a deal that I would drop the truck off at his house and he would install the engine. Some time later he called me claiming the motor was "set-up" meaning it would not turn. He claimed I bought a bad block.

I thought maybe the cylinder walls developed some surface rust and maybe a ring was stuck, but who knows. This dude who did the work never got far enough to even fire it up so I know he didn't blow it up, but I wouldn't put it past him that he could have found another way to screw it up. (He puts one too many back per day if you ask me).

So here we are....I have a good V8 I am installing in this truck and if anyone wants this reman'd 4.3 engine with "something" wrong with it....come pick it up and it is yours! Otherwise it is going in my scrap pile because I have plenty of V8's around to suit me.

Let me know if anyone is interested!

I could be persuaded to take a run down again if you had some other parts I need. I still need to find a good rust free southern 73-80 front clip, a working TH400 set up for 4x4, I'm also looking to put power options in "Pops" so I'll be looking for P/W, P/L, and AC stuff for that truck as well.

Unfortunately I don't have any of that stuff. I really don't need the motor. I have a 350 sitting in the garage now. Lol
