1959 chevy Panel help!!

I have a 59 1\2 ton panel need some help about putting in a 250 inline with a 350 trans. I have both. Will send pic soon.

The engine swap isn't difficult at all. The only clearance issue is the radiator, which needs to be moved forward a small amount. You can get mounts from Langdon's Stovebolt if you don't want to fab your own. If you don't want to cobble the throttle linkage, you can go with a cable setup.

The transmission will be somewhat more work than the engine, because you will need an automatic radiator, oil cooling lines, shift linkage, and the kickdown cable. You will also need to remove the existing bellhousing crossmember and install a new one farther back for the transmission mount. If you like a column-mounted shifter with the vintage look, you might want to snap this one up before it gets away.

If you use this one, you will need to make a new indicator plate so the shift positions read correctly, but it will still be less work than swapping in a modern column. Of course you could always go with a floor-mounted shifter too.
