This Thing is Steering Me Crazy

I called CPP today to try and order a steering column only to be told what I wanted didn't work together. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this setup and whether or not it will actually work. I was wanting CPP's oe style tilt column, since it is already black and that's what I'm looking for, paired with a chrome column handle kit. I was told the chrome handles wouldn't fit on the OE column. My other option would be to buy a paintable steel version which already has the chrome handles but that would almost double the total price as the OE column is $325 and the paintable one is $605. Any input will help.

Re: This Thing is Steering Me Crazy

What do you mean by chrome handles? On both of my trucks, the column shift levers and turnsignal levers are chrome...are you referring to the knobs?

I've seen aftermarket billet knobs for the levers in the LMC catalog.

I bought a BEAUTIFUL column from KevsClassics for my CST. It has chrome levers....I threaded the shifter so I could put on a lucky 13 skull shift knob.

Re: This Thing is Steering Me Crazy

I tried to get pictures off CPP but they won't let you copy their pictures. I do have part numbers if you'd like to take a look at what I'm talking about. I'm wanting to put 6794BCKK onto 6772EPSC-S. I guess I just find it weird that these 2 things won't go together.

Re: This Thing is Steering Me Crazy

I think that the knob kit should fit.....but I'm not an expert by any means....
Maybe one of the steering column experts will chime in.....

Re: This Thing is Steering Me Crazy

I can't see why it wouldn't either, but I'm far from a column expert myself
