This is not stock is it?
A my friend who helps me with my crew cab asked me about if this is suppose to look like this. I must say i dont think so.
also you can see that the slot of the key is offset from the other side theory: The PO put a too heavy 5th wheel trailer on and the axle end that carrys the bearings, drums etc broke. but could this be possible? the tires was not worn worse then the left set of tires so the aligment is allright and the axle shaft slights right in and out. no wired nosies from the rear end when i drove it.

It looks like someone has replaced the spindle and more than likely didn't get the key way up on top. I'm guessing at one point that hub lost the bearings and it ruined the spindle. As long as they got the new one welded on square, and the weld idone properly, it will be just the same as factory or close.
