Can someone tell me the width of the frame where the front cross member is?

I won't be near my truck for a while and have an idea for front suspension. Instead of doing a Mustang 2 front, I'm thinking about seeing if I can get a 4th gen F-body K-member to work. I can get on for free from a friend. If I can make it work, the plan is to buy a tubular one and shave a good amount of weight and get much better front end geometry.

Ok, here's the measurement. Since the frame rails aren't parallel thru the engine compartment, I measured as close as possible to the centerline of the upper balljoints. At that point the frame measures 29 1/4" wide.
