1962 correct replacment panel

Hello all, I am soon to be ordering some replacement panels for my 62. I am needing confirmation the in the pic below that the proper piece of sheet metal would be the passenger rear floor panel? I dont want to order the wrong piece. Also by the looks of the missing metal would it be safe to assume both the inner and outer rockers should be replaced as well? I have seen on some of the panel sites that the talk about a slide on reocker panel. Can someone please enlighten me. Thanks to all in advance,

are you sure that you need to replace anything other than the outer rocker? you will not really know what you will need untill you take it apart or look at it very close , look at the rocker from the back side, I replaced the inner and outer rockers on my 62 and the front post and inner kick panel, the inner rocker they sell is crap, there was not enough metal to fix my truck. I ended up making the inners myself on my brake, was very easy to do

Thanks for the reply. I have never done this kind of work before. Needless to say I am learning as I go. What size break do you have? Is it somthing I can score at Harbor F. Did you use 18 ga. sheet metal? What did you cut the metal with? Thanks in advance,

I have a real brake its a 4 ft, nothing HF sells would do it right and a local sheet metal shop would bend the metal for you for a reasonable fee, I used 18 gauge and used the HF electric shear, works great

Thanks for the info. So you think the spot that is rusted through is part of the inner rocker and no the floor? Once again thanks for the help.

You should get the full outer cab floor panel similiar to this. The pic is a 67 72. It is a better fitting part then the earlier patch panels or the cab floors with the inner panels on, they never reached the rocker seam. These do and are fairly easy to put on.

Here is a pic

Re: 1962 correct replacment panel

In the 5th and 6th pics above, I ordered cab corners for each side. The rust you see is actually on the back of the cab close to the bottom corners. Did I order the correct patches???? If not, I have always heard that tuition is always expensive.
