Dumb square body questions

OK, I've got a couple and I haven't had any luck with the search function (oh the 58 second blocks of time I've waited to peform another search... )

Anyhow, for now, two dumb questions (but anyone else is free to jump into the "I should probably know that pool" with me).

I have an '87 R30 crew cab dually with a 454 and TH400:

1. My SES light is nonfunctional. I was going to attempted to replace the bulb, but it occurred to me that I have no idea which side of the cluster (speed-o or gas gauge side) the SES light is on. Which gauge is it in and on which side (left or right)?

2. Will the back seat brackets from any squarebody year mount up to my '87's mounting points or did they change the brackets at some point?

Thanks!

In my '87 the Check Engine Light was in the speedometer, on the right side.

Re: Dumb square body questions

Right on. Wonder if the later ones are in the same spot? Thanks.

Kenny, I misread your message. I tought you were talking about your '78 not your '87. Adult onset dyslexia I guess... Thanks man!

The later ones should be in the same spot, too.

I am not 100% sure on the brackets, but I think they are the same.

Re: Dumb square body questions

The back seat was semi-replaced with a 2005 bench and the mounts were never finished. So I'm thinking I'll pick up a back seat off of craigslist (there's one local that the guy wants $50 for out of an '80) and recover it. Save me the headache of finishing the mounts on the '05 seat.

Thanks,

Sean

That's interesting... I want to put shoulder belts in the back. Wonder if the panel that carries the should belt nuts in the regular cab is the same as the C pillar in the crew? I'll have to compare them when I get the chance. Thanks.

Re: Dumb square body questions

I misread your question. the rear seat in the crew cab has different seat brackets with no sliders. I can get a pic of them if you would like. They bolt to the seat in the same spots that the front sliders do
