Hey guys I have a d44 front axle out of a mid to late 70s half ton .What has to be changed to make it a 8 lug front axle. Thanks

Brake rotors and backing plates. That is all I had to do to my '78 K10. Some will say the spindles need to be changed too but I have yet to see one where the spindles needed to be changed to accept the 8 lug rotors. Maybe early 70's D44's require a spindle.

The early 44's had a smaller inner bearing on the 1/2 tons, a..........601 something 49. the later 1/2 tons, 77-78 plus used a larger bearing that was interchangeable with the 3/4 tons
