Steam vent in heater hose connection?

I was thinking about hooking the steam vent tube up to the heater hose port on my stock radiator. What do you guys think? It looks like it's even threaded, so I could put a barbed fitting in there. The top one is the trans cooler port. The one below is the one I was thinking about using.

That is where i will be puttin mine. That is also where my 07 chevy work truck has it too.

I put a pipe plug in my rad and "T"ed into heater hose.
