hardware

Was reading on here once about a member who said a certain hardware store(Ace,True Value) can't remember, sells hardware by weight instead of charging by the piece. Can anyone help me out. I am in need of grade 8 washers and 7/16 bolts. Hope someone might remember that post.

Re: hardware

Yes, Tractor Supply does sell hardware by the pound. While our local Ace has a wider selection, I always buy what I can from Tractor Supply, or another similar store that we have here in OK. Its way cheaper that way. In fact, I just bought some grade 8 hardware yesterday, then had to go to Ace to get a couple of setscrews that I needed for a tool that I am building.

Re: hardware

I just bought 4 grade 8 bolts and flat washers at the local farm supply store by the pound and it was only .60 cents.
