Re: bolt bed to frame under wood?
ok one more idea then i'll shut up. we're under mortar attack now anyway & the mwr is in a hard building so i can't leave.
on the cross sill where the long carriage bolt passes thru - cut the hole out of the top of the sill & move it down just the thickness of the head of the bolt & then weld it back in with a spacer to keep it from collapsing like Captainfab suggested. it's either stock, wood work or metal work, take your pick. ok i'll shut up now. i promise. andy |

Re: bolt bed to frame under wood?
For those of you that have seen my bed here I have a plywood underlayment, well after 15 years its gone, I never sealed it, so I `m considering building all new sills from 2.5 x 1.5 x1/8 th wall rect steel and bolt thru.
