help! need ideas guys!!

ok i know some one has had to do this already but i'm going to run my wire harness in the groove on the firewall. how can i get the wires and loom to stay up in there??? i've thought about welding little pieces of pipe but obviously i cant start welding on the cab now, i've thought about glueing the loom... not that type of build, i've tried 5/8" hose ran in there... doesn't stay snug, and my latest idea is to wedge little pieces of 1" pipe up there to hold the loom.

here's a few pics. what do you guys think??

here is a 1" you might be able to see it a tiny bit but you would have to be on the same level as the channel so i don't think it would be visible.

Try these clamps from "made For You" products. They have several sizes and styles. They come in colors too. If you want to clean the harness up but don't like the typical split loom, try this braided loom. Its available in split as well.

BTW- Your going to need one of these covers that Jeff makes. Paint it body color and it blends right in...

Ken where do you get the harness holders and the braided loom at. That stuff looks great I'm gonna be cleaning up myzemgine bay here soon and need to rewire so stuff and I've always thought the split loom looked alittle cheesy compared to that braided/twisted loom stuff. Thanks for posting that.

They also have cable ties that will hold the loom but have a small serraded tab that stick off them. then you just drill a small hole in the body and the tab locks into the body where you drilled the hole. I will try to find a pic. I like these because they arent visible hardly at all when wrapped around the loom.

^^^ I was thinking of doing the same thing on mine. My firewall is shaved as well, and I routed the wires down below, but still need to come up with a decent way of securing them. I haven't looked serious enough yet, but I hope these come in the right size.

Re: help! need ideas guys!!

Try this link guys for the braided looms. Techflex make them in various sizes and colors. Maybe you could find a red the may match your body color Dennis. Summit also offers a loom like this but it only comes in black. We used it on a race car a few years ago.
