4 speed tranny
i need a four speed tranny for my 67 with a 350 want matches up what years? automatic.

Are you saying you have an automatic now and want a 4 speed manual? Or do you have a manual now and are wanting a 4 speed automatic?

You have three basic choices. 700R4 (also 4L60 and 4L60E), 200R4 or 4L80E.
Of those, the 200R4 is the same overall length as a short tailshaft TH350. They can be built up to handles serious HP (these are in the turbo Buick cars like the Grand National). I personally like these because it has a better gear spacing between 1-2 then the 700R4 series. Of those listed, the "E" versions are electronic and require a computer of some sort. Not commonly swapped in. The 700R4/200R4 requires you to setup the TV cable EXACTLY as requires or you will burn up those very quickly. That is where most people make their mistakes. I have bought and recommend www.bowtieoverdrives.com as a good source for info, parts and transmissions. Hope that helps.
