ques. 1985 c10 with a 90's stepside bed????

I have an 87 V15 with an 88-98 shortbox on it, it isn't a stepside though. I didn't put it on, it came that way, but I can tell you that two of the cross braces underneath the bed have been notched to clear the frame to get the top of the bed to sit below the chrome trim around the back of the cab, the side saddle fuel tank should clear the bed with no issues , the only thing that may be required is some creative routing of the fuel filler tube and vent tube, not an issue if they're flexible tubes. I would think if he has a single fuel tank it'd be on the driver's side.

I've attached a photo I had already of the bed on the truck so you can see what it looks like, I've seen the stepside boxes on this style truck and they do look pretty decent. I'd like to eventually find a fleetside shortbox of the proper era for mine but I'm not in a big hurry.
