NEED OPINION:considering buying this for another project
its a 1979 Chevy C10 350/th350 with new tires. it runs strong and drives really well the a/c is so cold it will cause frostbite the only things it needs is a grill and hubcaps but that is little things is it worth 1200? http://ucarsandtrucks.com/Steve-s-Auto-Sales-2.html

Re: NEED OPINION:considering buying this for another project
Rust issues? Interior complete? These two can run up the $$$ for a decent restoration. If the truck passes muster, $1200 is a good deal, IMHO.

Re: NEED OPINION:considering buying this for another project
interior is complete just a small tear in the seat. it still has a smog pump charcoal canister and catalytic converter it is very quite too no know noises.
shown on the title it came from flint Michigan the only problem spots i see are the wheel wells on both sides light surface rust no rot any were. nice thing about it is you pump the gas 1 time and it fires up instantly. |

Nice truck...if you want to buy it at $1200 go ahead...I wouldn't pay over $700 for a truck like that...

Re: NEED OPINION:considering buying this for another project
I see rust holes all in it. It needs a LOT more than what you mention to make it nice. I would pass regardless of price.

The working A/C is a big plus! I agree the body looks like junk. I can see rust and that primer job is probably covering all kinds of crap that someone patched up.

Re: NEED OPINION:considering buying this for another project
Last week there was a 76 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 400 on craigslist. To add to how nice this thing was, it was a special edition "spirit of 76" with a cool interior that was in good shape. Body was straight, no rust and could be very easily restored and this guy only wanted 800 bucks. That one your looking at would make a great parts truck and maybe a trash trailer down the road

The front bumper looks nice! That would be one expensive bumper, though. I'd pass on that one.

Re: NEED OPINION:considering buying this for another project
The bad part it all depends on where you live. Like in my neck of the woods, that's about what people pay around here for a truck in that condition. Personally I would say 1k and I would not go any more. It does look like from the pictures there is rot, but have you gone to look at it?

Re: NEED OPINION:considering buying this for another project
If you can afford to pay 1200 for that truck, why don't you just fix your A/C?
