Re: bed bolt shopping?
Might be cheaper to try your local hardware store. I've had to correct some mistakes from one of the big resto co's, and found buying in bulk much cheaper, just make sure all the bolts are the same.

Re: bed bolt shopping?
Tractor Supply sells carriage bolts for about 3 bucks a pound. You should be able to get all of the bolts, nuts, and washers to do the entire bed for well under 20 dollars.

Re: bed bolt shopping?
I second Tx Firefighter on that. Also if you want chrome or stainless you can try ACE as they do stock some.

Re: bed bolt shopping?
Anybody know off-hand what lengths, sizes, and amounts?
I'm in the same position. I have one disassembled and want to get to that this spring.

Re: bed bolt shopping?
Not difficult, but If one person has allready done the work. Why not share the info with the rest of us and save us some time? Plus the bed I have is in peices so I don't have any of the original hardware to compare.

Re: bed bolt shopping?
You could make it work, The only difference it the offest washers and bolts for the main bed mounting, I had a set of those for sale on the parts board...

Re: bed bolt shopping?
You should be able to get a rough idea by using some old bolts that you have lying around... Most of the assembly bolts are 3/8 i think and the mount bolts are 7/16 or 1/2 at the most. I'd run to Tractor Supply, pick up a few grade 2 bolts of different lengths and test them out... then buy what you need. Only cost 50 cents to pick up a handful of choices.

Re: bed bolt shopping?
There was a thread with pictures and lengths for each position around here somewhere..
My bad, the thread I mentioned was for Blazer body mount bolts..

Re: bed bolt shopping?
Question and answer both right there. I can do a whole lot of measuring to save some money. On my junk, I actually ordered a basic zinc plated kit from Mar-K for 50 bucks. I figure I could have assembled my own hardware for about half that, so some convenience for 25 bucks was worth it to me.

Re: bed bolt shopping?
I used 4" 3/8 zinc coated bolts nuts & nuts from TSC this weekend. 8 of them worked fine for my '67 1/2 ton with steel floor.
