Hey guys i spotted these on ebay, whats the deal with this? Apparently GM never produced these and yet they are out there? Let me know what you experts think on this matter! The first link is to the volts guage, the second to vacuum.

The cavume guages are not too hard to find...just look in the bigger trucks..the C/40 and up.
As for the volt guage, i have heard of them being stock...maybe again in bigger trucks, but Ihave yet to see proof. The guy admits to it being a custom made guage and not original.

Looks like he had them made. Using the electronics from a voltage gauge then put the face of a 67-72 housing on it. He claims to have someone that silkscreens the decals back onto the housing.

If it works, I would buy it. Since I've converted to the newer style alternator, I have no need for the amp gauge.

Actually the amp guage will still tell you the amps you are useing...but a volt guage is better for monotoring your harging system. I have thought about running both amp and volt on mine, but I think I'll just go with a tranny temp guage in the spare hole.
I see a vac guage as worthless in the inst panel.b More of a troublewshooting tool IMO.

The way I wired mine, the amp gauge isnt used at all, its in the same catagory as the vacuum gauge to me lol.

All a vacuum gauge would tell me is "Hang on boy, you're about to loose power brakes!!!!"

gotta love lots of cam on the street LOL
