paint job

hello everyone,

i'm repainting my 71 cheyenne next week and have a few questions.

my glove box sticker says medium green. where can i find a color code to get that exact color at the paint store?

what brand of paint do you guys like?

how much paint would i need? i'm going to make it white on the roof and down the center of each side and green everywhere else.

also i think i'm going to go with a new set of trim. suggestions on any package deals out there?

I'm in the process of painting my truck with that exact paint scheme. The more I see the Medium Green the more I like it.

I have painted the cowl, the inside of my cab, doors, the backsides of my fenders, hood and bedsides and have used almost a gallon of paint (not reduced). I have used right at a gallon of primer some panels have been primed and blocked three times or more.

I'm using RM, which is a BASF product. mainly because that is what my shop uses and this is for "advertising" after all.

I'm going to try and restore the trim I have by hand polishing and repainting. If that doesn't look good I'm going to get new stuff from GMC Paul's. I have actually thought of Airbrushing the trim on before I clear the outside, but I am still on the fence on that.

I see prices vary quite a bit on the complete set of upper/lower trim. Is it all the same brand or are there different qualities?
