6 speed tranny question
i wasnt sure weather to ask this here or in the drivetrain forum but ima try this first.
okay, what im wondering is does anybody make a 6 speed manual with granny frist and double overdrive? like 4th being the direct drive gear and the other two being overdrives. basically a sm465 with 2 more gears. does it exist?

Nope, it would have to be a granny 1st and single overdrive like an NV5600 or a car type 1st and double overdrive like a T56.
However, you might be able to bolt up a Gear Vendors OD to an NV4500. Ray |

I think you are looking at a med duty truck trans for that kind of set up.
Eaton Fuller 5406b and friends..... http://www.vibratesoftware.com/html_....htm#FSB-5406B These are going to be LARGE case units with twin counter shafts, and they aren't even double OD.
