Head light adjusters
I broke a headlight adjuster last night.
The local mom and pop places don't carry the correct style plastic nut for our trucks and I'm having a very difficult time getting the replacement to stay in the hole it belongs in. I found them on Chevy Duty's website but wasn't willing to pay $6.95 in shipping for $3.50 in parts (four nuts, four screws). Does GM still produce the push through style plastic nut? Does anyone else know where I might get these? Thanks!

Try your local Chevy garage. Take one of your old ones in with you to compare it with. They might just have one, but it will probably cost you more than you could get it through the mail for.
Either that, or look through Chevy Duty's catalog and buy some more stuff to offset the shipping cost.

Have you looked in one of the "HELP" sections of most autoparts stores? Im sure I've seen them there.
Of course, the junkyard would be cheaper. 5 finger discount.

The plastic pop in nuts as used on license plates will work, also.

My autobody supplier said the company he gets that stuff from discontinued them so he got me the next best thing. They were for a toyota pickup, heavier duty than our originals and all I had to do to get them to fit was take a small file and open the square hole up very little and tap em in with a small hammer and they fit nice and solid with no wiggle or chance of breaking them unless I really beat on em. Sounds kinda cheesy I know, but they look nice and will be available for many years.
