Cool air intake idea.
Time to think about an air cleaner for the BBC. As warm as the air gets under the hood I was thinking about something other than an 14x3 air cleaner. I don't consider this ram air by any means, and I have no idea how much hot air circulates between the grill and the the core support. SO, k&n air hat with a carb adapter, and silicone hose to prevent heat soak, through the core support to a cone filter with maybe a box to isolate it right next to driver side headlight in the mouth of the grill. And maybe a filter bag that lets air but not rain in (not that we get much rain here) Not trying to reinvent the wheel, just get the old girl to run better. All input is welcome, thanks, Chris

I used a spectre air cleaner with a hose running to a hole in the firewall. Not a whole lot of room for a filter before the grill

60's and early 70's hasn't crossed my mind ( 442 dual snorkle, AMC shaker, chevelle cowl) heck I even thought about cutting a hole through the fire wall to run a nascar carbon fiber cowl induction cleaner. The idea I have now seems to be pretty straight forward and effective. I can't believe there there were no negative posts added about cold air intakes
