6 speed transmission with 6.0L
Does the 6.0 bolt up to a 6 speed transmission or is there an adapter that is needed? What is everyone's opinion on a 6 speed trans instead of the 4?

You really need a GenIV engine/ECM to work with it, or a MAST controller. I think Speartech may also offer a kit that will work with an LQ4/6L80e, but I'm not positive. Last edited by foamypirate; 09-22-2010 at 08:57 PM. |

Re: 6 speed transmission with 6.0L
The MAST controller can make it work with 24X, that was what my plan was before I picked up the L92.

Re: 6 speed transmission with 6.0L
I say if you plan to abuse it, use a 4l80e. Just my .02

Re: 6 speed transmission with 6.0L
Yeah but the 4l80e will be easier to program. The 6l80e can be done, it just takes a lot of tweaking.

Re: 6 speed transmission with 6.0L
okay thanks for all the info guys, I think I will probably just go with the 4l80e because it's easier, just wanted to know about the new stuff out there
