seat belts needed
I need the inner seat belts for a red or orange interior. I have the outer retractable pieces but no inners. I can't haul the kids around without seat belts. Any help would be appreciated. Can't find anything around local.
Thank for the assistance. |

Re: seat belts needed
The red belts are one of the hardest to find. Sometimes they show up on the parts board. Another place to watch is EBay occassionally they show up there. Your other choice is to become a premium member suscribing to do a WTB on the parts board which is the best best for getting them. Or do a search in your browser for a aftermarket set close to being correct that you can live with. Good Luck on your search.

Re: seat belts needed
40 year old seat belts are more for cosmetics than a safety item i hope you realize that when planning for your childs wellbeing

Re: seat belts needed
I have seen this comment before and would like to see a documented instance of a vintage seatbelt failing. There are probably hundreds of thousands of vehicles still on the road with 40+ year old seat belts and no laws pertaining to replacing them. I myself was in a serious accident in a 1968 C10 and my vintage lap belt saved my life. If the belt is in sound condition (no cuts or frays) I would trust it! Sharpie

Re: seat belts needed
i see every major racing sanctioning body in cars trucks boats and planes has strict expiration dates on safty belts. and those belts are far more hefty than street stuff. so my common sence says why take the risk with old outdated stuff.. if you wish to bet your life b my guest

Re: seat belts needed
Another option is getting a set in any color and sending the ends to a after market seat belt maker to get the webbing in the color you want.
