need help on front end conversions
I have a '67 chevy truck, and i have spindles for it that are susposed to use 73-87 ball joints and tie rod ends. I have read some messages about some of you guys changing over the front ends for disk brake set-up. when you say take the whole cross-memeber off a 73-87 truck, do you mean cut the whole front end of the frame off and bolt it to the '67 frame or just take the steering linkages off and put it on the "67 frame?????
if you understand what iam asking or have some clue of what iam trying to say, please help thanks ken |

No, you just swap out the whole front suspension cross member. The whole thing unbolts. There is no cutting involved.
This is the piece that unbolts (I modified the ends of this one, but you get the idea):

I've also read here that the 73-87 A arsm can be bolted to the 67 crossmemeber. Is this true?
