lost power to my ignition where should i look

no more power to my distributor (upgrade to hei) where should i look for fuses/fuseable links on my 69 gmc. wondering if i should use the original wire to run a relay to power it.

Trace the wire back to its key on ignition source. Most people will run a wire off of the fuse box. Don't get in a hurry, look carefully and find the source. I do not recommend the original ignition source, because that wire is a resistance wire. Meaning that there is a built in voltage drop to about 9.5 volts. You need 12v+ to operate the HEI properly. Make sure also that you have 12v+ when cranking the truck.

Wiggle the wires behind the ignition on the dash. Make sure the are plugged in all the way.
