Flipping the carrier bearing on lowered truck
For those of you who have done this, I have a couple questions.
A stock type carrier bearing has no issue being flipped, and the weight of the DS pushing on the mount vs. pulling on it, does it? Does the stock DS end up being too long after this is done? I was under the truck the other day and the whole process looked easy enough. Drill out/chisel 4 riviets, flip the mount over, and move it upward, then drill 4 holes. What bolt size is adequate....I was thinking something in the 7/16" range? |

I did it on my LWB frame but never actually drove on it. I know boardmember iveldesigns did it on his and has put a lot of miles on it with no issues. No change to driveshaft necessary
