Picture Request: Heartthrob Exhaust Kit (LMC Kit) V8 2WD?
Does anyone have pictures of the V8 exhaust kit from Heartthrob installed on a 2WD C10? This is the same kit that is sold by LMC. The reason I am asking for it is because I purchased the kit minus mufflers. Everything I have found suggests that a muffler with an offset inlet AND offset outlet should be used, but I would like to confirm that. Thanks!

The system goes on a little easier with offset/offset but can be installed with center/offset. I have used two of their kits, one on m 4x4 and one on the 68 and honestly the 4x4 was easier to install. I had to trim about 6 inches from the intermediate pipe to move the muffler mounting points forward to the stock mount locations. If ou have a lift it is much easier to do obviously but it can be done in the driveway as well. I will get you some pictures as soon as the camera batteries charge. Harold

Harold, That is good information to know. I will be installing the exhaust with the truck on a lift and will also be MIG welding all joints. Since I have a SWB, I will need to trim the exhaust anyway. The mufflers I am looking at are the same price regardless of offset, so I just want to ensure I get the ones that will work best. If I were going to do it again I ould get the off set mufflers to make everything that much easier. I am very happy with the way the system fits and looks. Some complain about these but for the price and the quality of parts (mandrel bends on everthing) it is tough to beat. Here are the pics...
