Any guesses as to what brand headers these are?

Pretty thick tubing and flange. 1-3/4" primaries and 3" (OD) collectors.

They came with my truck and are a bit grungy but seem like they're in decent shape. Just don't know where they came from.

Thanks!

Call me crazy but they look like home made smog headers made with brake line fittings and brake line.

Just trying to figure out what they are for now. Don't want to get anyone in trouble with the classified police...

I would definately say big block chevy headers, whether they are from a truck or fit it not sure, plus the are smog headers, and probably pre 87 since there's no o2 sensor bung.

check the collector, sometime there are numbers there that is a factory part number and will let you trace them back.

Yah, I guess I should bust out the wire brush, get the dirt off and see if I can find part numbers. Good point about the O2 sensor bung.

I doubt they are Thorley's. Thorley Headers have the tri-y thing going on. These are straight primaries all the way to the collector.

Re: Any guesses as to what brand headers these are?

You bring up something I've been wondering about lately but have been too lazy to look into... Are Doug's Headers and Doug Thorley the same company? I think I remember someone telling me that Thorley sold out and then went back in business (or his brother did?) Under a slightly different name. But that's an old memory, so anyone know?

Yes.

Looks like they are headman BBC smog legal headers. I'd almost bet money on it.

Re: Any guesses as to what brand headers these are?

Which Hedmans? The one's I've seen on Summit for the BBC trucks (other than Doug's and Patriot) all have #5/#6 primaries that go straight down to the collector rather than up and over #7/#8. On the website, Hedman only lists one style (no photos) and those have 2" collectors and ball flange.

They're laid out exactly like these Doug's (but no stove pipe) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DOU-D3342/?rtype=10

And also like these Patriot

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PTE-H8054-1/?rtype=10

But don't look anything like these:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HO...1HKR/?rtype=10

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HED-69117/?rtype=10

Like I said, mostly just curious. Thanks!

Re: Any guesses as to what brand headers these are?

And to add to the confusion, I think Doug's Headers is owned by Petronix (who also owns Patriot which would make sense looking at the pictures) and Doug Thorley Headers is owned by someone else (interweb says either ex wife, Jardine, Summit or a private equity consortium owned indirectly by Bigfoot, Elvis and the Lock Ness Monster).
