Factory 16" 5 lug wheels?
I just bought a 1972 Cheyenne Super. It had ralleys on it but the guy gave me what he called the original wheels. They are 16X6 and 2 of them still had the correct hub caps on them. Anyone ever seen these?
Joshua

Re: Factory 16" 5 lug wheels?
My '72 GMC had them, gave them to a friend of mine for his '69. I think I've still got the spare left.

Re: Factory 16" 5 lug wheels?
I have wondering if these were out there. I assumed they would be on newer trucks. I need a set...

Re: Factory 16" 5 lug wheels?
Yes were options, but the average pickup buyer back in the day would rarely opt for them. These mainly were ordered by experienced truck buyers and goverments who wanted higher capacity tires and higher ground clearance. Its odd there was a 16" 5 lug one piece wheel, but there was never a 16" one piece 8 lug wheel during the 67 thru 72 period.
