New guy and his ride
Hi Gang, I'm a new member to the site from Arizona and wanted to say hi and share my latest project vehicle. I came across this truck last weekend and had to have it.
It's a 69 C20 in really good shape and very un-molested (no lifts, drops, chops etc.) Im sort of a purest and am looking to do more of a classic restoration with a few mods to make it more user friendly and fun to drive. Im not a fan of long beds but either way, I just really wanted it it. It's sporting a 350 w/ Holley 600 SM465 Granny 4-speed Factory A/C American racing rims Factory interior Fresh coat of paint over a really straight body Just a really clean truck and a great place to start if you want a clean canvas. Please feel free to tell me what you think.....Good, bad, ugly and any thoughts or ideas on good ways to go with this project. Very nice truck bro. The first thing I would do is go over the brakes. If one wheel cyl leaks then replace them all. I would replace the master also. Buy quality parts. Not Auto Zone junk. Don't be cheap on brakes. Put up more pics as you get-er-done.

Thanks Guys,
I'm really looking to do a disc brake conversion, but all the kits I see are for 1/2 ton only. Any ideas or sources for a c20 conversion? or will I be forced to grap a front clip from a 72 and get the power brakes and power steering combo all at once? Arizona Joe |

If it were me, I'd keep it as is, and drive the wheels off it.
 Oh, and if you're lookin' to put that 3/4 ton to use, I'd suggest a bed mat or spray-on bedliner to protect it. Just my 2 cents. Looks really clean, nice truck, Joe!

10-4 on that. This rig will be my daily driver, light work truck and toy hauler, so I have a tool box and spray in bed liner planned with new carpet, new covers on seat as well as clean, restore or replace the dash and cab trim. I have had a few rust buckets that I have chopped and played with but this is a very nice ride and would not think of molesting it.  Joe |
