Halfadime, I made them. It's 1/4 red acrylic with drop ceiling diffuser for the prizmatic reflector and you have use to used a special glue because epoxy will not work. I found out the hard way. That way you can make what ever shape and size you want.

Masshole, I used 1 1/2 exhaust tubing and welded it to the 16 gauge sides. You have to really watch your heat so you don't warp it out. I have made 4 beds and have it down to a science. I built one for my son to slept in.

strong work, that bed is crazy..ask your son if he wants to sell it looks like I will have to try my hand at making one the way you did. THANKS AGAIN for all the pics...oh and slow down will ya, i can't keep up!!!!! lol
