Don't use windex to clean your gauges
Just a warning. Don't use windex to clean off the gauge faces on your stock gauges. It will remove the stock lettering.
Whatever they used to mark the faces is not a durable material. Just use a clean dry cloth to wipe them down if they are dirty. Luckily I had plenty of spare gauges sitting around and didn't have to put the damaged gauges onto my truck.

don't use thinner on the gauge lens either, we got some overspray on the 84 and thinner turned it all milky now you can barely see anything through it.

Re: Don't use windex to clean your gauges
I used a dry paper towel to wipe the dust off the gauges but it started to rub the lettering off

Re: Don't use windex to clean your gauges
Best thing I have found is a cheap 1" 100% pure bristle paint brush. Just use it like a duster.

Re: Don't use windex to clean your gauges
I've actually had the lettering blur with just plain water. As mentioned, a dry soft cloth or brush is the safest bet...
