Looks pretty good, you can tell that they just did a quick spray paint job on the whole underside... but I guess it looks better than rust

Re: 72 I am going to see today, thoughts
Please look carefully at the underside of that truck. I might be a bit suspicious of the mileage claim due to all the black touch up paint all over the underside. You can see overspray on the brake drums, the cab corners, and the steering system. The truck does appear to be in great condition, but be cautious about the miles.

Looks like the trim on the pass. side doesn't line up. Drivers side looks okay.

Re: 72 I am going to see today, thoughts
Having paperwork and protecto plate is a plus. The rattlecan resto under the truck is unfortunate as it's not up to the same quality as the rest of the truck, but that's a lot easier to fix than rust.
I don't think the air filter is correct, and I can't tell from my dinky phone if the seat covers and wood grain on the dash and glove box are correct. Nice truck for the money it seems. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 72 I am going to see today, thoughts
I agree that is a shoddy rattle can job on the undercarrage! That trucks a 20-footer. Also thats a 73 up steering wheel on there. Joseph

I don't believe that is the original seal upholstery either. The engine looks like it may have been repainted as well. The top is super clean, but the oil pan is not the same.

Re: 72 I am going to see today, thoughts
We could sit here all day and pick at it, just like we could do on almost any truck, but if you like it, I think it is worth what he is asking for it.

Re: 72 I am going to see today, thoughts
I found out the mileage as stated can not be verified. No title.
I told the guy painting the underside devalued the truck and that he should have left it alone. It is not a $10K truck. |

Re: 72 I am going to see today, thoughts
Factory AC, PS, PB, Sierra Grande. If it really is a no rust body it's worth 10K. Hell, nice paint jobs alone with no real body work are 5K-7K. Sloppy touch up on the under side needs to looked at to make a determination of whether it's just an effort to clean up or is it hiding something. Due diligences.
