limited slip vs posi differential

I'm just wondering after putting new gear oil in my diff, if a limited slip differential is different than a posi.

Mainly, do I need GM's limited slip additive in addition to the gear oil in my Eaton posi rear?

Eaton posis have a very specific oil. I BELIEVE that all you need is this.

Limited slip and Posi are the same. "Posi-traction" is a GM term.

Yes you need to add gear oil or an attitive that is for Posi or limited slip differentials.

The additive only last a year. That what I was told, something about the add. being weaker then gear oil and the stuff that makes it work brakes down faster then regular gear oil.
