malfunctioning wipers
Can anyone help me with a windshield wiper problem. When I turn my wipers on, they will not turn off until I turn the ignition off. Some times they will come back on after I turn the ignition back on. I have replaced the switch, motor, and ignition switch. The problem continues. In fact, after the motor comes on, I can remove the wiper switch and they will continue to remain on. Please help.
I have a 72 4x4 blazer. ![]() |

The "park" switch is toast. This is what makes the wipers go back to their original position no matter where you cut them off. The motor gets power anytime the key is on to power the park switch, is why you can remove the switch. The little devil is inside the wiper motor...getting a new motor would be the easiest fix

After rereading you post it seems you have already changed the motor tring to fix this...reading this I would say the wires are mixed up on the plug. There are three wires, low speed, high speed, and park circuit. The wire to the park circuit is hot any time the key is on so I would say it is connected to one of the other speeds. If you have a meter or test light you test this out
