5 lug pattern & offset?
I have a 72 lwb and am starting to look into rims but I do not understand the off set and spacing I need. Factory 5 bolt with disc up front and leaving the drums on the back. Looking to go 17 or 18 " rims. Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: 5 lug pattern & offset?
Offset isn't as important as backspacing. Backspacing(bs) is the distance from the back edge of the rim to the flat surface where is sits against the hub.
In general, an 8" wide wheel works best with 4-4.5" of bs. A 9.5" wheel works well with 4.75-5.5" bs.

Re: 5 lug pattern & offset?
As your shopping for wheels, take a look at tires sizes and prices too. I have found that it is better to ensure that the tire sizes are available at a fair price. These days 17's are common and 18's aren't as much. You will find a much better selection in 20's and the price will surprise you as being as cheap if not cheaper in some cases.
