Decided to run run a aol setup but was wondering how much lower the truck will sit with 2 leafs aired out compared to a full set of leafs. Is on a 78 blazer with a flipp and a c-notch and should I use a higher rated bag since is on a blazer, thanks

Re: air over leaf ?
If the c-notch & tub floor are the limitations, it won't be much more (about 2").

Re: air over leaf ?
So I should get a nice lowered stance when aired out, most likely sit on the notch which would be nice.

Re: air over leaf ?
When we did the AoL on my 77 we took all the leafs out but two "and" added a 2" block. This allowed more pressure to be run in the bags and improved the ride.

Re: air over leaf ?
n2trux, on your aol setup is the bottom bag bracket just floating on the leaves, and any suggestion on a air bag, as is on a blazer and is heavier on the back.

Re: air over leaf ?
The bottom of the bag is clamped to the spring. I suggest you look at the Ride Tech AoL kit. It comes with the Firestone bag, and should work fine for your Blazer

Re: air over leaf ?
I'd like to see how low a squarebody can get with AOL, after cutting floor, notch etc...

Re: air over leaf ?
One last ?,will the helper kits be good enough for lifting the truck seeing it will only have 2 leaves and not a full pack.IMO they are helper bags and not a full load bag.Should I buy the brackets and then buy a better bag and what rate should I get,no trailer ,just a weekend blazer. They have a airlift helper system on sale here so looking for some input.

Re: air over leaf ?
Go to the link I provided you. On the lower right hand corner of the page, click the 'select options' icon for a pop-up page w/the options offered for this kit. Click the drop-down icon (where it says 'choose application') & note they have a 3000# kit as well as about a dozen other weight/size ranges.....
