Some pics of my truck

I've been a member on here for a little bit, but I rarely post on here. Here are some pictures of my truck. It's an 86 Chevy silverado 4x4, 305/700r4 combo, 4.56 gears with a yukon lsd in the rear, 6" lift, 35" bfg km2 tires. I bought it back in may completely stock and I installed the lift and everything else back in july.

Re: Some pics of my truck

Very nice looking truck.

Seems like the rear wheels are sitting a little bit forward from normal.

Re: Some pics of my truck

I agree, but I don't know what woulc be the cause of that unless it's something to do with the rough country springs that I used.

Re: Some pics of my truck

Yours look exactly like mine. Except your paint is in much better condition than my midnight blue. Your truck looks good. Its the springs. I have found that lifts on shortbeds that are taller than 4 inches cause this.

Re: Some pics of my truck

Great looking truck....

The rear tires off center concerns me though... I have seen quite a few short beds and don't recall this being a big problem and unless it has something do with the body panels themselves the suspensions on the long bed and short bed trucks are the same. Could they have sent you the wrong leafs with offset pins? Or perhaps they are supposed to be offset and were installed backwards? I dunno..

These could fix it though.

Re: Some pics of my truck

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'm hoping to put together a fresh motor in the near future to throw in it.

Re: Some pics of my truck

Yeah, looks good. Aren't there different rear spring lengths--52" vs 56"? This may have something to do with it, if memory serves. Another good place to check would be the CK5 forums.

Re: Some pics of my truck

I normally do all the work to myself but this time I let a local driveline/offroading shop do the install for me since they were already doing the gears for me they cut me a heck of a deal on labor. I'd imagine that the springs were installed the right way. I'm going to have to look into it tho.
