Wood Bed

I am replacing the wood in my bed and i have all of the wood out plus the strips. i was just wondering how do you remove the angle strips from the bed. Are they spot welded to the bed side?
Thanks

They are spot welded to the bed, but unless they are in bad shape I would leave them. I tried to get the ones off my bedsides and it seemed impossible to do without jacking up the entire bedside. When you order new bedsides they come with the angle strips in place. Good luck and if you come up with a trick let me know.

I bought a spot weld cutter (drills thru the center of the weld and cuts a small hole around it) to remove mine. Don't just pry them off, you'll tear the box sides. Of course you have to be a decent welder to attach the new ones. Good luck, Scott
