Anyone know of a mechanic/shop in the North Fort Worth/Keller/Haslet/Roanoke area that has full range of experience with our trucks?
Mine has flaked out and time for a change! thanks -- jeff |

Re: North Fort Worth Mechanics
What are you looking to get done? I know a real good straight shooter type in far south Fort Worth, but it is up to you.

Re: North Fort Worth Mechanics
over next 12 months:
immediate: tweak the new 700R4 that the flaked out guy didn't quite finish water pump front end work - install new tie rods, ball joints etc a/c check-up, switch over to sanden compressor install cab mounts early 2011 install crate motor 2/4 or 3/5 drop that's enough for my wallet for now. |

Re: North Fort Worth Mechanics
I took mine to the same shop I've taken all my newer vehicles. It's called The Automotive Shop, good guys. not necesarily truck experts but the owner/main mechanic has about 8 different old cars he's rebuilt himself and they're really good about telling you how it is and only charging you for what absolutely has to happen to make things work. They're in the middle of FTW though, on Bledsoe and University.
We've got a bunch of FTW folks, we should have a little get together sometime :P |

Re: North Fort Worth Mechanics
I'd be interested in that...mostly for my 07 Sierra though. All of my stuff on my 70 is pretty much handled. Unless you know someone who would change out trannies for fairly cheap. That is next on my list of "to-do's". I'll probably just end up being a cheap-skate and doing it myself. Info and contacts are always welcome though!

Ha! You have a valid point Hutch. There is probably no such thing.
Alright if I decide I don't want to do it then I will definitely give him a call. I appreciate the info/link. |

Re: North Fort Worth Mechanics
Stefan, wo do you use in the Roanoke area? That is if you don't mind me asking? One of my very good friends uses Gareisch (SP?) Bros and thinks very highly of them.
