1970 Barn Find: 80.1 actual miles

If anyone wants a survivor, here's one to consider:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=190437667824

I made a run at it myself one and had it inspected/appraised. I'd like to own it but regretably the seller and I could't come to terms. There are lots of great pic's in the ebay ad if you're interested in how an undercarriage looked coming off the line.

It's been for sale for a little while.

In July: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=411930

And then again back in April: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=399906

Farmer bought it, drove it home, put it in a barn and removed the battery and left it there until he died. He is currently asking 35K. I spent a great deal of time coming up with a value that was just $750 different from that of the appraiser. It is a valuable truck and extremely unusual. He said it was the most interesting appraisal he'd ever done and it was very time consuming for him. Appraiser was a great guy and the seller is very polite. Seller had an email address posted in the ebay ad.

Out of respect for the seller and potential buyers, I'll refrain from sharing the appraised value. I just hope it finds a good home.

You're correct. It has had 2 owners since being found. The thing that scared me is initially is they both do body work. But after seeing the inspection report, it's definitely the real deal and has never been refinished or even touched up. Seller is strait forward.
