Heater Box Delete

Does anyone know who sells Heater box delete's for the firewall I know I seen or think I seen them somewhere. I am not looking for the weld on panels that where on a thread not too long ago. I have a Non Ac truck and since I am running an Electric Water pump it is hard to figure out how to run my heater water hoses so I am going to remove my heater box for a cleaner look. I have made plenty of searches and came up empty handed. I hope there is something out there I can use. Who else has removed thier heater box with out a welded panel what did you use any pictures would be great Thanks for the help.

Re: Heater Box Delete

I got mine from Classic Industries. When I put in the Vintage Air, they sold it either under hood or where the glove box goes. I opted for the glove box version.

Re: Heater Box Delete

Yeah it is the Show Cars blower cover. I am still working on getting the tooling made up... and interest from anyone that would want one.

It amazes me how many people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I am building my truck without a heater... on purpose. I think everyone is just getting soft. Toughen up, people!

Re: Heater Box Delete

I would think you could find one down in the Bay Area on a junkyard truck... but then I remembered there are no more Bay Area junkyards.

We have our share of junkyards here two in San Jose 20minutes out & one in Newark about 10minutes out but every time I go to one there is only one or two trucks by then they are strippt.... I wish it were that easy, so you think a junked truck would have a Heater Box Delete Panel?

Re: Heater Box Delete

this may be a little off topic but doesnt someone make a kit to put the heater core and everything on the inside so you only see your two heater hoses going in to the flush firewall??

OK, so a small update on repopped heat delete plates... so I found a place local that can probably make them, now its just trying to get it to where they would be affordable.

You mean like this? I think mine is from vintage air.
I bought the truck this way, I am the 3rd owner the original owner can't be reached. But I can tell you that I don't have any glove box space!
Aloha

How much we talking about? I was talking to a friend of mine that has abody shop & he said he can fab something up. So if I get this done by him I will post some pictures. I already pulled the heater box off my truck and have nothing there at this time it does look alittle ugly. But my truck isn't drivable at this time to take it to him to get all the measurments and see what he will be working with...

Looks nice but that piece there looks like it was welded in place and has holes for the heater hoses. I am looking for something alittle more plain to cover up the whole heater box area and can be screwd in not welded so if I ever want to put the heater back in..

Re: Heater Box Delete

jc - there should be a bunch of heater-deletes in Hawaii trucks not from the mainland. They were not required in these trucks IF sold new in Hawaii. Keep an eye out if you ever find a truck in a wrecking yard over there.

Petey - I am still working on getting new ones repopped... just been super busy with work last few months doing 7 day work weeks
