Wanted pics of outrageous 1947 to '54 Chevy Trucks.

I have a new '52 Chevy truck project and want to cut the cowl and raise the front fenders about 4 inches.I have all the new patch panels that I'll need. I'll also chop the top about 3 or 4 inches.
There was a guy who posted pictures of his build, the truck was yellow and it was outrageous to say the least. I can't find it anywhere. If anyone can help,,Thank you.

Search for a thread called "modern bed for a 47-54" Is that the truck you were referring to?

Re: Wanted pics of outrageous 1947 to '54 Chevy Trucks.

No,,
The one I'm refering to is bright yellow, that a guy built in his garage. He was heckled by the herd but placed it on eBay and it went as high as $67K.
It's super super clean,,the body lines have all been altered. The roof tilts to the front, the fenders raised.
I'm building one similar from memory and it would be nice to see it again.

Go to the "search" button up top, then "advanced search", and "see all threads started by user", paste that name in, then you will see all his threads. I looked at them, didn't see him getting heckled. I remember the truck though.

Re: Wanted pics of outrageous 1947 to '54 Chevy Trucks.

That's a similar truck but not the one I'm thinking of. The one I'm refering to has been dramatically changed.
I'll keep looking and Thanks for your help.

Re: Wanted pics of outrageous 1947 to '54 Chevy Trucks.

It could be my yellow truck. Here are some of the mods
1. cab & doors lengthened
2. top shopped
3. caddy fins on a highly modified later model bed
4. rain gutters removed
5, bed conforms to cab curves

Re: Wanted pics of outrageous 1947 to '54 Chevy Trucks.

DAMRITE SGT !

That's the one I was refering to,,many Thanks guys.
I have a '53 that came with it all the patch panels. I took it in on a trade as it overwhelmed the guy.
My vision is that I wanted to raise the fenders and widen them several inches.
Chop the top but retain those lines. The bed is going to be made using a few sets of original doors (to keep with the overall flow of the truck).
Instead of sticking a ball and a box together as they came from the factory.
