electrical problem

hey im new here. and i have got me a 1967 Chevy c-10 stepside shortbed that has a 250 i6 in it. i am having a problem getting it started, it hasn't been started in 4 years. there is spark coming from the ignition coil but not out of the distributor? help please

i would start with a complete tune up.
If you are like me, and refuse to run points, then swap out an HEI system from a junkyard, cap/rotor plugs and wires.
If you know the old points ignition system, then swap out the points, cap/rotor plugs and wires.
Drain the old fuel and replace the filter, dump in 5 gallons of fresh fuel and go for it.

If the coil is firing then the problem is most likely in the distributor cap or the rotor button.

thank yall for they help we narrowed it down to the condensor in the distributor and the points inside were goin to buy them next weekend and see if it works. if it starts it will be the first time in four years. gotta get this chevy going!
