Angry They can't even make a window crank handle that fits right

I've tried window crank handles from two different vendors for my '68 and they both fit terrible. Both came in the same "made in Taiwan" package. The groove for the retainer clip is cut too far down- making the handle stick out from the door panel.

What a joke.

It seems to me that there could be a company based in the US that could reproduce all these parts and sell them at a reasonable price and get the fit and finish right. Its almost a joke getting these parts that at best barely fit right and are sure not the same quality.

They are made for us guys that use '72 door panels on the early trucks. They give us enough clearance that we don't have to change the regulators and door latch remotes...

That's for sure true ^^^ Cause on my 71 the door handles fit terribly but on my 72 you can't tell the difference in looks from the old one. But I do know that if you buy the new tracks as well they fit like a charm.

Re: They can't even make a window crank handle that fits right

I took a closer look at the proper fitting, old shot aftermarket handle, and it has "MM" cast on the back side. Assuming that stands for MotorMite... maybe one in the help section at O'reillys will fit right.

Stay tuned

Thats ok, my brand new window regulator today crapped itself. Now I can't roll down the driver side window or if its down it won't go back up.
