Gauge Cluster....PLEASE HELP
So I've been looking around at different gauges and clusters and cant believe how much it is just to get a factory looking tach for the original gauge cluster.
so my question is...well ive seen some people that have the original bezel but after market gauges....so how do i do this? anything special or just gauges that fit... so thank you all again for always helping me out oh and i like things to look very clean so i REALLY want them to fit the old bezel. |

Re: Gauge Cluster....PLEASE HELP
A stock looking Tach complete guage panel does seem a bit high. But look at the price of quality aftermarket guages Autometer, Dophin, etc. In most cases you need senders for these that come with them that them easily run $400-$600 a set. There is a recent post with a setup that LocDoc was working on that had a GPS type speed o meter /tach /trip that was really nice but wasn't inexpensive. They maybe more accurate but the stock stuff isn't but about half the price. Be careful when you sway away from the stock bezel some of the custom dash bezels panels require you do some cutting in the dash also. 40 yr old stuff versus the newest latest stuff. Bottom line is always you get what you pay for.

Re: Gauge Cluster....PLEASE HELP
aftermarket tachs are a million times better than the piece of junk from the factory, let alone the china made knock offs.
